I am Mega, a mom, a designer turned professional chef, and once proudly known as a Chef de Cuisine at home.
I was born in Jakarta and raised in Bandung, Indonesia. Moved to the land of the windmills a.k.a. Netherlands when I was 11 where I currently live with my husband and two daughters.
Creativity has always been at the heart of everything I do. From fashion and architecture to sharing a love for Jeeps with my husband, I am endlessly curious. But food has always been my greatest passion. I still cannot decide what I enjoy more, cooking or eating. Probably both, preferably at the same time.
The kitchen has always been my favorite place. As a child, I loved helping my mother cook and tasting her dishes. Those early memories shaped the way I cook today, with warmth, generosity, and bold flavors.
I began sharing my cooking on Instagram. in 2011, and since 2019, through my own account, @MegarasaTV. After countless messages from friends, family, and even strangers asking for recipes and tips, I launched my YouTube-channel also named Megarasa. My goal is simple: to inspire people to cook more at home and to enjoy creating delicious food for the people they love.
In 2025, I made a major career switch and decided to fully follow my culinary dream. I enrolled at the Ron Blaauw College, founded by Michelin-star chef Ron Blaauw, where I trained professionally. During this journey, I also gained experience at the Michelin-star restaurant 't Ganzenest, led by chef Eric Tas. These experiences transformed my lifelong passion into my full-time profession.
This year, I am excited to expand my work by offering private dining experiences and hands-on workshops, bringing my cooking directly to your table and into your kitchen.

P.s. Lots of people ask me the meaning of Megasasa and the answer is quite simple. I’m Indonesian and my name is Mega. Rasa is the Indonesian word for flavor. So it’s Mega’s flavor. My food… with my flavor.
